What is the 'Synchronous HTTP' Transfer Type?

The Synchronous HTTP Transfer Type is commonly know as real-time delivery.   What makes it Synchronous is that when Leadshot receives an inbound lead, the connection to that inbound service is held open while the data is being sent to the outbound service.  The disposition of that transfer (accepted or rejected) is then reported back to the originating inbound service.
